Our Facilities
John Grant School has a wide range of facilities on-site including specialist sports facilities & equipment. We have 65″ 4K 20 point multi-touch screens in our classrooms which are height adjustable. We also have an ICT Suite with 24″ touch screen monitors and have a high-spec multi-sensory room, as well as a range of other specialist facilities and equipment throughout the school.
Sports and Physical Education
Our sports facilities include a sports hall, dance studio, gym, swimming pool, hydrotherapy pool, sports field and playgrounds as well as a range of sports equipment.
ICT and Computing
The school has well-equipped classrooms which include multiple computers, iPads and a 65″ 4K multi-touch height adjustable screen, as well as resources used in the delivery of the Computing and other curriculum where appropriate. The school also benefits from a dedicated ICT Suite which includes 12 Dell computers with 24″ touch screens. Below is an image of the ICT suite and one of the new classroom 65″ screens.
Multi-Sensory Room
The school has recently refurbished its main dedicated multi-sensory room, which includes a range of tactile, interactive and other sensory devices (light, sound, wind). The sensory room is used by a range of pupils from across the school.
Outdoor Areas
The school has a range of outdoor activity areas including a sports field, trim trail, outdoor theatre, climbing frame, sensory garden, wooded area, playgrounds and grassed areas which can be used for multiple activities. EYFS & KS1 also benefit from a covered soft play/activities area.
