Shorelark is a class of nine Key Stage 2 pupils. We are a very busy class and explore our world and work through following our topic based curriculum. This year we will be looking at the following topics – ‘What’s in the news’, ‘Scandinavia’, ‘Senses’, ‘Minibeasts’, ‘Transport’ and ‘making things happen’.
We have been looking at ‘Scandinavia’ and have been ‘virtually’ flying to several countries, buying our tickets, listening to their national anthems, exploring how they live and facts about the environments there. As part of our Science lessons we have been exploring light and have started to look at how light travels through different materials, we have linked this to the Northern Lights and we were all mesmerized by the array of colours we could see when we watched a video about them. Finally we will end this half term with a search for Santa, we hope we can find him! We may even make him some special biscuits!
In the New Year we are excited to explore the Senses.
